I have been researching ideas for the next assignment which is conceptual photography. I've noticed that most conceptual photos are very photoshopped and not many are straight photography. Since I prefer straight photography, I will probably end up experimenting a lot with creating concepts without editing too much in photoshop. Above is a picture from a places assignment.

introductory statement

Wut up. I'm Lucy, a junior at CHS. I have lived in Cville almost my whole life but was born in Seattle, Washington. I work at Splendora's Gelato - the best job ever. I've got a mad sweet tooth and can never resist anything with sugar. I am really into art and hope to major in studio art in college and photography goes hand-in-hand with that for me. In both mediums I love the figure and facial expressions, a.k.a. portraits. The photographs I find the most interesting are the ones that capture a certain emotion. In general, I tend to be more drawn to straight photography. A photographer I really look up to is Cartier Breson. His concept of "decisive moment" makes its way into my mind whenever I'm doing a shoot.
